Guri Lake is one of the largest man made lakes in the world stretching approximately 175 km's long and 48 kms wide. Guri was made by the damming of the Caroni at the confluence of the great Orinoco – this is known as the second largest hydro electricity dam called the Raul Leoni Dam.
